VPC Peering Connection

VPC Peering Connection (Peering) refers to the network connection between two VPCs. You can use a private IP address to communicate between two VPCs as if the two VPCs are within the same network. Users can create Peerings between VPCs of their own accounts, or between VPCs of their own accounts and VPCs of other accounts in the same region.

Product Advantages

Flexible use

Creating Peerings between different VPCs of the same user Creating Peerings between the VPCs of different users Creating custom private network with Peerings between a public cloud and a DeC VPC

Safe and controllable

When creating connections between VPCs of different users, the user needs to provide the account name and VPC ID of the peering end. When connecting VPCs between different users, the peering connection created by the initiator must be accepted by the peering user.

Reachable to Intranet and easy to use

When two VPCs use Peering to communicate, they interconnect through the Intranet of the resource pool without passing through the WAN. Self-service operation: eSurfing Cloud provides the Web management platform, and users can log in to the Web page to easily realize connection creation and route policy configuration.

Scenarios

< >
  • Flexibly building a network across VPCs and easily expanding resources
  • Building a hybrid cloud network
Scenario
  • When the resources of different business departments need to interconnect with each other, the Peering can be used to connect the VPCs under the two accounts, thereby realizing access to cloud resources within the Intranet. The connection process of the Peering requires both parties to confirm with each other to ensure security. At the same time, with the continuous development of business, when resources and network architecture can no longer meet business needs, the new resources such as new VPCs and ECSs created for the new business can be interconnected with original resources through the Peering, to easily realize business deployment.
Pain points
  • When users use different accounts to order and manage resources, resources between different accounts cannot be accessed through Intranet. As the business scale continues to expand, the newly created VPC and computing resources need to achieve interconnection with the original VPC for mutual access.
Advantages
  • Through the Peering, the VPCs under the two accounts are interconnected to achieve Intranet access to cloud resources.
  • Break the current status of business isolation between different VPCs, and realize the interconnection of new and old VPCs.
