Billing Mode Switching Rules

The following restrictions apply to the switching of billing modes:

If your usage scenario or bandwidth billing requirements change while using shared bandwidth, you do not need to repurchase the resource. You can simply switch the billing mode of the shared bandwidth in use.

For yearly/monthly shared bandwidth resources, Switch to Payment by Volume upon Expiration takes effect only after the subscription expires.

Note: You cannot switch from Periodical Mode to Payment by Volume on the exact day the subscription expires.

Prerequisites

Billing mode switching only works for unexpired shared bandwidth. Expired bandwidth must be renewed before switching.

Procedure

1.      Go to the Network Console and click Shared Bandwidth in the service list.

2.      In the shared bandwidth list, locate the shared bandwidth to modify. Hover over More in the actions column: (1) To switch from Yearly/Monthly to Pay-As-You-Go mode, click Switch to Payment by Volume upon Expiration in the list box; (2) To change from Pay-As-You-Go to Yearly/Monthly mode, click Switch to Periodical Mode in the list box.

3.      In the pop-up window, click Transfer to on-demand and follow the instructions to complete the order.
