Shared Bandwidth

Shared Bandwidth (SBW) supports bandwidth sharing and multiplexing at the regional level, and enables multiple elastic IPs (EIPs) in the same region to share one bandwidth. It realizes the sharing of bandwidth resources among  EIP binding ECSs, DPSs, ELB and other instances, helping enterprises to reduce the cost of access to Internet.

Product Advantages

Cost Saving

When the peak traffic caused by various business accessing the Internet is distributed in different time segments, the cost will be greatly reduced if multiple IP addresses share the same bandwidth.

Elastic Scaling

SBW can be scalable to actual business usage in peak value to smoothly cope with the peak and valley traffic.

Dual-stack Access

The dual-stack NIC of an ECS can be added to SBW to adapt to future evolution of the network and provide the dual-stack ECS with the capability to access the IPv6 Internet.

Visualized O&M

Visualized O&M enables the real-time monitoring of traffic to discover network bottlenecks in time and ensure business continuity.

Scenarios

< >
  • Cost-effective Bandwidth Multiplexing
  • Effectively Handling Sudden Traffic Peaks
  • Dual-stack ECS Access
Description
  • When customers have massive business deployed on eSurfing Cloud, multiple instances sharing a same bandwidth is obviously more cost effective than each ECS using a single bandwidth to create a large number of bandwidth instances, thus helping enterprises save network operation cost and simplify O&M.
Advantages
  • SBW features out-of-the-box use, minute-level delivery and rapid access to Internet.
  • Various billing modes are available, including billing as per use, billing by periodical package, etc., realizing the optimal balance of reliable performance and low cost.
  • The EIPs of multiple ECSs multiplex a shared bandwidth that can be scalable per use. Elastic load balancing can improve the overall bandwidth usage.
  • By binding NAT gateways, multiple ECSs can access the WAN using the same IP address, saving bandwidth costs.
