What should I do if a prompt stating "Insufficient permissions" appears when creating a delegation?
Issue Description
When an IAM user attempts to access the IAM console to create a delegation, the system prompts "Insufficient Permissions".
Causes
This IAM user does not have permission to use IAM.
The entities with IAM usage permissions are as follows:
l Account: The account can access all services, including IAM.
l Users in the admin user group: Users in the IAM default user group "admin" can access all services, including IAM.
l Users granted the "Security Administrator" or "FullAccess" permission: Users with these permissions are IAM administrators and can access IAM.
Solution
l Request the administrator to create a delegation.
l Request the administrator to grant IAM service permissions.
