A powerful congestion relief tool coming to rescue

As is known to all, Xi'an is a city with serious traffic congestion. However, in the Traffic Analysis Report of China's Major Cities in the First Quarter of 2017 released in 2017, the ranking of Xi'an in terms of traffic congestion dropped from the 15th place in 2016 to the 29th place. This is the lowest ranking ever since the release of the report for Q1 of 2014.

The Deputy Chief of the Dispatching Section, Science and Technology Unit, Traffic Police Division of Xi'an said: "Comparing the AutoNavi's report of the first quarter and our own data, the traffic index report reflects the improvement of the traffic conditions in Xi'an to a certain extent. This means that various congestion relief measures adopted by Xi'an traffic police have gradually achieved practical results." Speaking of congestion relief, the Xi'an Smart Traffic Platform is a must to mention. The Platform builds an "information bridge" between drivers and the traffic police. For example, if a drive wants to know if he has run a red light, he can check his driving information through the Platform and also whether points of his driver's license have been deducted.
