Q: Can I purchase multiple instances of CSG with the same account?

You can only purchase one instance with the same account in the same region, which corresponds to one master package version. After purchasing a CSG instance, you can upgrade the version or expand the number of protected nodes.

Q: Can an expired instance still protect nodes?

If a purchased instance is not renewed on time after expiration, the public cloud platform provides a certain retention period.

  • During the retention period, the platform will freeze the service, and various protection policies configured by you will no longer take effect.

  • If you still fail to renew the service after the retention period expires, the platform will clear and release the instance resources, which cannot be restored after release.

Q: Can I downgrade the version and specifications of a CSG instance?

CSG instances cannot be downgraded, and the bound protected nodes cannot be unsubscribed separately either.

To downgrade the current specification, you can unsubscribe from the current instance first, and then purchase an instance of an earlier version.

Q: Does CSG support auto-renewal?

Yes.

You can check Auto Renewal when purchasing a package, or set Auto Renewal in the Order Center during use.

Q: How does CSG count and limit the number of protected nodes?

The number of protected nodes is limited based on the data amount purchased for protected nodes. If the number of online protected nodes exceeds the number of purchased protected nodes, the protection cannot be enabled.

Q: What should I do if the number of protected nodes in the current version is insufficient?

To address this issue, you can expand and purchase nodes.

Q: Can I change the CSG version or specifications while renewing CSG?

No, renewal is not supported when you change the specifications. You can only renew the CSG instance of the current version and specifications to extend its service life.

In addition, you can upgrade the CSG instance version after the renewal is complete.

Q: How many protected nodes can I purchase at most?

You can purchase 10,000 protected nodes at most for each resource pool.

Q: Does CSG support Payment by Volume?

No, CSG currently does not support the Payment by Volume.

Q: What is the expiration time if I purchase a protected node during usage?

The expansion node is bound to the master package and expires at the same as that of the master package.

Q: Can I unsubscribe from a purchased expansion node separately?

No. The purchased expansion node is bound to the master package and cannot be unsubscribed separately.

Q: Can I retain the configuration data of the original instance after unsubscribing an instance and repurchasing it?

When you repurchase an instance within 15 days after unsubscribing, you can restore the instance to its original configurations if the version of the new instance is the same or later than that of the original instance.

If the instance is purchased after 15 days after unsubscribing, the instance cannot be restored because the original resources have been released and the configuration data has been deleted.
