Automatic Renewal

In order to avoid resources being frozen or released due to failure to renew resources in a timely manner, users can enable automatic renewal after purchasing monthly or yearly subscription products from eSurfing Cloud. Once automatic renewal is enabled, the system will automatically renew the resources before they expire, and the users do not need to perform manual renewal operations.

Scope of Application

·        Automatic renewal applies only to resources billed on a monthly or yearly basis.

·        Setting or modification of automatic renewal is not supported on expired resources.

·        Automatic renewal is applicable only to paying users and not applicable to non-paying users.

Enabling, Modifying, and Disabling Automatic Renewal

·        On the renewal management page, users can enable or disable automatic renewal, or modify the automatic renewal period.

·        As long as automatic renewal is not disabled, the system will continue to renew the resources based on the set period as long as the prepayment account balance is sufficient or if the user is a postpaid user.

·        Prepaid users can enable, modify or disable the automatic renewal function on the official website. Postpaid users will need to contact your account manager to enable automatic renewal before you can manage the settings.

Automatic Renewal Period

The default automatic renewal period is one month for monthly products and one year for yearly products. Users can adjust the automatic renewal period as needed.

Automatic Renewal Pricing

·        The automatic renewal subscription will be charged based on the standard price at the time automatic renewal is enabled.

·        For products purchased during special promotions such as $0 subscription and flash sales, the standard price will be restored when the order is automatically renewed.

·        Prepaid users can only pay the automatic renewal with account balance, and vouchers cannot be used. Users should make sure that their account balance is sufficient.

Automatic Renewal and Rules of Fee Deduction

·        Payment method and time: Automatic renewal order placement and fee deduction will be conducted twice, namely on the tenth days and seventh days before the resource expires.

·        Automatically renewed orders cannot be cancelled once billed. if the customers have any issues, they can initiate an unsubscription request. The unsubscription process for automatic renewal follows the same rules as regular unsubscription requests, and unsubscription will automatically disable the automatic renewal of that resource.

Automatic Renewal vs. Manual Renewal

·        Resources that will expire in seven days or less, or have already expired need to be manually renewed. Automatic renewal cannot be enabled.

·        Manual renewal is also possible after automatic renewal has been enabled. If manual renewal is performed before the automatic renewal billing date, the system will recalculate the next billing time of automatic renewal based on the new expiration date after the manual renewal.

Automatic Renewal Procedures

1.        Enabling Automatic Renewal

Step 1: Go to the renewal management page.

Step 2: Set the search criteria.

You can search for resources by specifying the expiration date, product type, and whether to activate automatic renewal query resources.

Since the two automatic renewal orders are placed ten days and seven days before the expiration date, it is recommended that you select “Expiration time > = 10 days” and select the cloud servers, cloud disks, bandwidth, and RDS resources that have not activated the automatic renewal.

Step 3: Different operation methods for single automatic renewal of a single resource and batch automatic renewal of several resources in a batch.

·        Individual renewal: Find the resource to be renewed, and click Enable Auto Renewal in the Operate column.

Batch renewal: Find and check the resources to be renewed, and click Set Automatic Renewal in the resource list that is displayed.

Step 4: Set the automatic renewal period and read the eSurfing Cloud Automatic Renewal Service Agreement. If you agree to all the terms, check the agreement box to indicate that you have read and accepted the terms of the eSurfing Cloud Automatic Renewal Service Agreement, and click Submit.

Notes:

·        Enabling automatic renewal function will not directly place an order and deduct the fee. The system will place the renewal order and deduct fees on the tenth days and seventh days before the resource expiration time.

·        The purpose of showing the renewal subscription amount on the automatic renewal page is to remind users that the account balance of prepaid users must be at least greater than or equal to the renewal subscription amount shown here (for example, 33.10 USD in this case) in order to be able to automatically renew successfully. Postpaid users need to understand that the bill (for example, billed in August in this case) will add a resource renewal fee (for example, 33.10 USD in this case).

·        When enabling automatic renewal in batches, the renewal cycle will be the same after operation. Users can adjust the automatic renewal cycle for any resource at any time.
