Distributed Message Service RocketMQ

Modifying an Instance

2024-07-03 03:25:47

Scenario Description

The scenarios for changing RocketMQ instances are described as follows:

When you use RocketMQ, you may need to modify the instances. For example:

l   Business change: If business needs have changed, you can change the name of the RocketMQ instance to meet the requirements of the new business logic. For example, when a business module is added or adjusted, its corresponding instance name needs to be modified to a more accurate name to facilitate management and monitoring.

l   Faster message processing: If the message processing speed is slow or unstable, you can improve the message processing efficiency by adjusting the message retention parameter. For example, you can reduce the retention time of messages to shorten their stay in the system to improve the real-time performance and processing speed of messages.

l   Security configuration change: When you need to modify the security configuration of the RocketMQ instance, you can modify it accordingly.

It should be noted that when modifying instances, you should proceed with caution and make adjustments based on actual needs and system conditions. When modifying an instance, follow RocketMQ's best practices and recommendations to ensure system stability and performance.

Procedure

1.         On the eSurfing Cloud official website, click Control Center and select RocketMQ.

2.         Log in to the DMS RocketMQ console and click Region in the upper right corner to select the corresponding resource pool.

Go to the instance list. Click Modify on the instance name to modify the instance name field.

3.         Click Manage to enter the management menu. Click to modify the configuration. In the pop-up window, modify the instance description and message retention time.

Note:
