Scenario
The dashboard provides a visual management interface for monitoring and managing the components and functions of a RocketMQ cluster. The following introduces the functions of the dashboard:
l Cluster overview: provides a quick overview of a RocketMQ cluster. It displays the status and number of different roles such as name server, broker, producer, and consumer in the cluster, as well as information about message sending and consumption. Administrators can learn about the overall running status of a cluster for better monitoring and management.
l Real-time monitoring: provides real-time monitoring data, including the message sending and consumption rates, the load on each node, and the number of stored and accumulated messages. Administrators can learn about the real-time running status of a cluster using the real-time monitoring data to promptly detect and rectify exceptions and faults.
l Configuration management: supports cluster configuration and management. On the dashboard, administrators can view, modify, and adjust cluster configurations, such as modifying broker configuration parameters and adjusting consumer subscription relationships. Administrators can flexibly configure and improve clusters.
l Troubleshooting and handling: troubleshoots and handles problems in case of a cluster exception or fault. On the dashboard, administrators can view the status and logs of each node to locate the causes and positions of faults for troubleshooting and rectification.
l Performance optimization and statistical analysis: allows you to optimize performance and perform statistical analysis. On the dashboard, administrators can monitor and analyze cluster performance metrics, such as message latency and throughput. Administrators can identify performance bottlenecks and take measures to optimize performance.
To sum up, the dashboard supports cluster overview, real-time monitoring, configuration management, troubleshooting and handling, performance optimization, and statistical analysis to help administrators monitor and manage clusters more efficiently and improve system stability and performance.
Procedure
1. Log in to the RocketMQ Console.
2. Click Dashboard.
3. In the Time drop-down box, you can select a time to view the monitoring metrics generated within 15 days. You can also customize a time range for query. However, it is recommended not to query too many messages each time.
4. In the Topic and Group drop-down boxes, select the topics and groups that you want to view. If you have not selected the topics and groups, the information of all the topics and groups of the instance will be displayed by default.
5. By default, the data on the dashboard is refreshed automatically every 30 seconds. In the Auto Refresh drop-down, you can change the auto refresh time.
6. To refresh your dashboard data immediately, click Refresh.
