Scenario

The following shows the monitoring scenarios of a RocketMQ cluster:

l   Cluster status monitoring: You can learn about the running status of a cluster in real time using the monitoring feature. You can monitor the status of various roles such as name server, broker, producer, and consumer in a cluster, including the number of connections, running status, message sending, and consumption rate to promptly detect exceptions or failures.

l   Troubleshooting and handling: This feature helps you quickly locate and handle faults. In case of an exception in the cluster, you can use the feature to locate the fault, and take corresponding measures to ensure stable running of the cluster.

l   Load balancing and performance tuning: This feature facilitates load balancing and improves performance. You can monitor the workload of each cluster node, including the message sending and consumption rates, and resource utilization. You can also allocate resources and configure the load balancing mode based on your conditions to ensure high performance and stability of the cluster.

l   Capacity plan and forecast: You can plan and forecast capacity usage based on the cluster monitoring data. You can monitor information such as message storage capacity and number of accumulated messages in a cluster, and plan capacity based on history data and trends to prepare for resource expansion and make adjustments in advance.

l   Performance optimization and tuning: This feature allows you to analyze and evaluate system performance bottlenecks and located causes for system tuning. You can monitor the performance metrics of each cluster node, such as processing latency and throughput, and identify performance bottlenecks to improve system performance and efficiency.

To sum up, the cluster monitoring feature supports real-time monitoring of cluster status, troubleshooting, load balancing and performance optimization, to ensure the stable operation of the cluster and improve system performance.

Procedure

1.         On the eSurfing Cloud official website, click Control Center and select RocketMQ.

2.         Log in to the DMS RocketMQ console and click Region in the upper right corner to select the corresponding resource pool.

Go to the instance list and click Manage to enter the management menu.

3.         On the menu, select broker and brokerID from the drop-down list to view cluster monitoring information.
