Restriction and Limitations
· You can only log in to a GPU cloud server that is running.
· In a Linux operating system, the username is "root" and in a Windows operating system, the username is "administrator".
· In GPU instances, some instances do not support the remote login feature provided by the cloud platform. Users must install the VNC Server to log in to these instances. We recommend that you log in to GPU cloud server With MSTSC.
· When logging in to GPU cloud servers with MSTSC, GPU using the WDDM driver model will be replaced with a non-accelerated remote desktop display driver. As a result, the GPU acceleration capability cannot be achieved. Therefore, if you want to use the GPU acceleration capability, you must use a different remote access tool. If the Remote Login feature on the management console operation page does not meet your access requirements, install a remote access tool (for example, Tight VNC) on the GPU cloud server.
Overview of Login Mode
Select a login mode as required and log in to the GPU cloud server.
Table 1 - Summary of login modes of Linux-based GPU cloud servers
GPU cloud server OS | Local server OS | Connection method | Condition |
Linux | Windows | For remote login from the console, see Log in to GPU Cloud Server With VNC (Linux). | Do not depend on EIP |
For the use of remote login tools such as PuTTY and Xshell, see Login with SSH Password(a Windows operating system is used locally). see Login with SSH Key(a Windows operating system is used locally). | Bind the cloud server to the EIP (When you log in to the GPU cloud server from the Intranet, you may not need to bind to the EIP, for example, in VPN and cloud dedicated access scenarios.)
Linux | For the use of commands: see Login with SSH Password(a Linux operating system is used locally). See Login with SSH Key(a Linux operating system is used locally).
Mobile Devices | Log in to the cloud server using SSH client tools such as Termius and JuiceSSH. See Log in to Linux-based Cloud Server from Mobile Device.
Mac OS | For the use of system's built-in terminals, see Log in to Linux-based ECS from Mac OS. |
Table 2 - Summary of login modes of Windows-based GPU cloud servers
GPU cloud server OS | Local server OS | Connection method | Condition |

Mobile Devices | Install a remote connection tool, for example, logging in to Microsoft Remote Desktop from a mobile device. See Log in to Windows-based Cloud Server from Mobile Device. | Bind the cloud server to the elastic IP (When you log in to the cloud server from the Intranet, you may not need to bind to the EIP, for example, in VPN and cloud dedicated access scenarios.)
Windows | Log in to the GPU cloud server with MSTSC. See Remote Desktop Connection (MSTSC).
Linux | Install a remote connection tool, for example, rdesktop, and run the connection command. See Log in to Windows-based Cloud Server from Linux-based Server.
Mac OS | Install a remote connection tool, for example, logging in to Microsoft Remote Desktop for Mac from Mac OS. See Log in to Windows-based Cloud Server from Mac OS. |
