Restriction and Limitations

· The remote login function is accessible from the system-configured custom port. Ensure that the port you want to use is not blocked by the firewall. For example, if the remote login link is "xxx:8002", ensure that port 8002 is not blocked by the firewall.

· If the client operating system uses a local proxy and the firewall port for the proxy cannot be configured, disable the proxy mode before using the remote login function.

· If the GPU cloud server running on the Linux OS is created using a key pair, you must log in to the cloud server using the SSH key and set the login password before using the Remote Login function (VNC) on the console operation page. You can log in with VNC normally only when this step is executed.

Procedure

1. Log in to the console.

2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Service List, and select Compute > Elastic Cloud Server.

3. In the ECS list, enter the GPU cloud server name, ID address or IP address in the search box in the upper right corner and start searching.

4. Locate the target GPU cloud server in the search results and click Remote Login in the Operation column.

5. (Optional) If the message asking you to "Press Ctrl+Alt+DEL to unlock" is displayed on the login page, click Send CtrlAltDel in the upper right corner of the remote login operation panel.

6. (Optional) If the cursor is not displayed on the remote login page, click Local Cursor at the top of the remote login operation panel to restore the display of the cursor.

7. Enter a new password for the GPU cloud server as instructed on the screen.

Follow-up Actions

After logging in to the GPU cloud server, you can use the copy and paste functions provided in Virtual Network Computing (VNC) mode to copy and paste data between the GPU cloud server and local data (this feature is supported only by some resource pools). Here is the procedure:

1. Log in to the GPU cloud server with VNC.

2. Click Copy Command Input in the upper right corner of the page.

3. On the local computer, use the shortcut Ctrl+C to select the data you want to copy and copy.

4. Return to the VNC window of the GPU cloud server, and use the shortcut Ctrl+V to paste the copied data to the command line window.

5. Click Send to send the copied data to the command line window.

Description

· If a Linux-based elastic cloud server uses a graphical user interface (GUI), data may be lost when your use the Copy Command Input function in the VNC window, especially when the elastic cloud server has a small number of CPU cores and the GUI uses a large number of CPU resources.

· To avoid data loss, we recommend that you send no more than five characters at a time. Alternatively, when you want to copy and paste data, switch to the command line interface (also called the text interface) and then use the Copy Command Input function.
