Agent
The Agent mentioned in this documentation refers to the audit agent plug-in, which is installed on a database system or business system. It is used to capture data packets accessing the database system and send the data packets to Database Audit.
Kafka
Kafka is a high-throughput distributed publish-subscribe messaging system that can handle all action stream data in consumer-scale websites. This data is usually addressed by processing logs and log aggregation due to the throughput requirements.
SNMP
SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) is a standard IP network management protocol that supports current mainstream network management systems.
SQL
SQL (Structured Query Language) is a database query and programming language used to access data as well as query, update and manage relational database systems; it is also the extension of database script files.
Syslog
Syslog is an industry-standard protocol that can be used to record device logs. Syslog log messages can be recorded in local files or sent over a network to a Syslog receiving server. The receiving server can store the Syslog messages of multiple devices, or parse the contents for further processing. Common application scenarios for Syslog are network management tools, security management systems, and log audit systems.
Database
A database is a repository for storing data. It organizes and stores data based on a certain data structure (i.e., the organizational form of the data or the relationship between the data). Users can manage their data in the database through a variety of methods provided in the database.
Rule
The rules described in this documentation refer to dangerous behaviors (security rules) and trusted behaviors (filtering rules) defined based on some characteristics (e.g. clients, servers, and SQL statements). When the system audits operations on the database that match the security rules, an alarm will be triggered. Behaviors that the match filtering rules will not be audited.
Asset
The assets described in this documentation refer to the database systems that require audit management.
