Storage Fees

Storage fees are charged based on your data types, storage capacity, and duration.

Billing

Billing Items	Storage Type	Description
Single-AZ storage capacity	Standard storage	Billed based on the storage capacity and duration occupied by data in Standard storage with single-AZ redundancy. l The storage capacity is calculated based on the actual data size. l The storage duration is calculated based on the number of days for which data is stored in ZOS.
	Infrequent Access (IA) storage	Billed based on the storage capacity and duration occupied by data in IA storage with single-AZ redundancy. l The storage capacity is calculated based on the actual data size. l Objects stored for less than 30 days are billed for 30 days, while those stored for over 30 days are billed based on the number of days for which they have been stored. Note: The minimum storage duration is 30 days. If objects are deleted or stored in another storage class before they have been stored for this minimum storage duration, you still need to pay for the remaining days.
	Archive storage	Billed based on the storage capacity and duration occupied by data in the Archive storage with single-AZ redundancy. l The storage capacity is calculated based on the actual data size. l Objects stored for less than 90 days are billed for 90 days, while those stored for over 90 days are billed based on their actual storage duration. Note: l After you restore an archived object, a copy is generated and stored as a Standard storage object for a specific time. The object is billed for both Standard and Archive storage during its validity period and the copy is deleted automatically after expiration of validity. l Note: The minimum storage duration is 90 days. If objects are deleted or transitioned to another storage type before they have been stored for this minimum storage duration, you still need to pay for the remaining days.
Multi-AZ storage capacity	Standard storage	Billed based on the storage capacity and duration occupied by data in Standard storage with multi-AZ redundancy. l The storage capacity is calculated based on the actual data size. l The storage duration is calculated based on the number of days for which data is stored in ZOS.
	Infrequent Access (IA) storage	Billed based on the storage size and duration occupied by data in IA storage with multi-AZ redundancy. l The storage capacity is calculated based on the actual data size. l Objects stored for less than 30 days are billed for 30 days, while those stored for over 30 days are billed based on the number of days for which they have been stored. Note: The minimum storage duration is 30 days. If objects are deleted or stored in another storage class before they have been stored for this minimum storage duration, you still need to pay for the remaining days.

Traffic Fees

Traffic is defined as the cumulative data traffic that is generated when you access ZOS. The traffic includes outbound traffic over the Internet, outbound traffic over the Intranet, inbound traffic over the Internet, inbound traffic over the Intranet, and cross-region replication (CRR) traffic. You are charged for the total traffic that is generated when you access ZOS.

CRR Traffic	Traffic that is generated when you replicate data from the source bucket to the target bucket across regions.	Pay-as-you-go

Request Fees

Request fees are calculated based on the number of requests

received by ZOS. Each API call is counted as a request.

Request Types

Read requests (GET): include GET, HEAD, and LIST operations, such as downloading objects, listing objects, and obtaining bucket policies.
Write requests (PUT): include PUT, POST, and COPY operations, such as uploading objects in full or multipart.
Delete requests (DELETE): include DELETE operations, such as deleting objects and canceling multipart uploads.

Data Retrieval Fees

As Infrequent Access (IA) storage and Archive storage classes are cold storage classes and generate lower storage fees, you are charged data retrieval fees when you retrieve data from ZOS. The retrieval fees are calculated based on the traffic generated and the retrieval times. You are billed for data retrievals regardless of whether you use an internal or Internet connection. If you are using an Internet connection, you are also billed for the outbound Internet traffic generated.
