Regions and availability zones are used to describe data center locations. You can create resources in a specific region or availability zone.
• A region refers to the physical location of a data center. Regions are all isolated to obtain the maximum fault tolerance and stability. The region of a resource cannot be changed once the resource is created.
• An availability zone is a physical location with isolated power and network within a region. Faults are also isolated among availability zones. A region may contain multiple availability zones with physical isolation. However, availability zones can communicate with each other via Intranet. This way, the availability zones are isolated but with cost-effective and low-latency network connection.
The following figure illustrates the relationship between regions and availability zones.
Currently, eSurfing Cloud has provided cloud services in multiple regions around the country. You can choose the regions and availability zones as needed. For more information, refer to eSurfing Cloud Service Dashboard.
