Billing items of SQL Server involve instance types, database editions, instance specifications, storage capacity, backup capacity, and Zettabyte Object Storage (ZOS) traffic. Among them, instance specification fees are billed based on the CPU and memory specifications, instance type fees are divided into Stand-alone and Active/Standby instance types, and database edition fees are divided into Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition. Storage capacity fees are charged based on the allocated capacity for storage or backup. For ZOS traffic, Internet outbound traffic and cross-region replication traffic are of the pay-as-you-go billing method. Other traffic types, such as Internet inbound traffic, are free.

Fee = Required duration × Unit price of billing item. For more information about the details and formulas of each billing item, refer to Billing Items.
