Feature Overview
When you submit a URL prefetching request, AOne EdgeTrans will cache the corresponding resources to the edge node. When you request the cached resources for the first time, the edge node directly returns the cached resources without retrieving them from the origin server. This feature is often used to trigger CDN POPs to prefetch content before the release of popular files and major promotion activities. This feature can help reduce workloads caused by back-to-origin requests on your origin server, increase the cache hit ratio, and improve access experience of the first users after you release a popular file.
Before You Begin
You have added a service domain name. If you have not added it, see Adding a Service Domain Name.
Procedure
1. Log in to AOne, and select Acceleration Management > Refresh & Prefetching page.
2. On the Refresh & Prefetching page, select URL Prefetching and click Create Task.
3. Follow the instructions below URL Prefetching to enter the URLs for which you want to prefetch content.
4. After you complete the configuration, click Submit.
5. To view the progress and result of task execution after submitting the task to be prefetched, you can select a time range, enter the target domain name, or select a task status to view the execution of the task to be prefetched.
Cautions
Limitation on URL prefetches: 2,000 entries per day.
Note: To prevent resource waste, AOne EdgeTrans sets a quota for each type of resource. If the current quota cannot meet your business requirements, submit a ticket to increase the quota.
