In this module, you can manage the hosts with Server Security Defender agents installed. You can:

  • manage the service groups to which hosts belong

  • manage hots tags

  • remove hosts from a service group

  • set host management rules

Service Group Management

  • Create a service group

Click the '+' icon to add a service group.

  • Edit a service group

Move the pointer over the service group that you want to edit, click the '...' icon that appears, and then select Edit Service Group.

  • Delete a service group

Move the pointer over the service group that you want to delete, click the '...' icon that appears, and then select Delete Service Group.

  • Add a subgroup

Move the pointer over the service group for which you want to add a subgroup, click the icon that appears, and then select Add Subgroup.

  • Set host tags

You can create, edit, and delete tags, and filter hosts by tag.

  • Remove hosts from a service group

Click Move Out in the Action column to remove the corresponding host from the service group; or select the hosts that you want to remove and click Move Out in the upper right corner to remove the selected hosts from the service group.

  • Set a rule

You can set a rule for automatically managing certain types of hosts, such as moving hosts to another service group, tagging hosts, and modifying O&M configurations.

Click the Rule Setting button. The host management rule list is displayed.

  • Create a rule

Click New Rule to go to the New Rule page.

Set conditions. Specify host name keywords and specific IP addresses and an IP range as conditions.The system will perform the specified operations on only the hosts that meet all conditions.

Set operations. You can set the following operations to be performed on the hosts that meet the conditions you set: move the hosts to the specified service group, add tags to the hosts, mark the hosts with the specified asset level, change the host owners, change the email addresses of the host owners, change the data center of the hosts, and modify the host descriptions.

Set a scope. Set a scope in which the rule takes effect. You can select all hosts or a service group.

Describe the rule.

  • Execute rules

Click Execute Rules to execute all rules in the list in sequence.

  • How to execute rules:

The rules in the list are executed in descending order. The topmost rule is executed last.

If two rules have conflicting conditions, the rule that is executed later overrides the rule that is executed earlier.

By default, rules are listed in descending order by creation time. You can move rules up or down to adjust the order. This operation will affect the rule execution order.
