This section describes the agent management feature of the Server Security Defender. You can set a runlevel and loglevel, download logs, and perform other operations for managing agents.
Managing agents
On the Agent Management page, you can view the statuses of all agents, switch the runlevel of an agent, export agent running logs and reports for troubleshooting.
You can delete hosts that have been offline for more than 7 days to release the licenses used for these hosts.
You can set a suitable runlevel and download logs and reports for troubleshooting.
1. Set the runlevel.
Ÿ Normal: The agent is fully functional and can perform tasks assigned by the server.
Ÿ Degraded: This is a protected mode. In this mode, the agent does not accept tasks assigned by the server until it restored to a non-degraded state.
Ÿ Disabled: The service features of the agent are disabled, and only the basic communication capabilities and capabilities for executing basic tasks (such as uninstallation and restoration) are retained.
2. Set the loglevel.
During troubleshooting, you can set the loglevel to the Debug mode. More logs are generated in the debug mode than in the normal mode for facilitating troubleshooting.
3. Download logs.
You can specify a time range to download the logs that were generated within the time range.
You can download the running status report of the agent.
4. Restart an agent.
You can restart the agent on a host without changing the original host status and runlevel.
5. Delete an agent.
After you delete an agent, the system clears up all data of the agent. After the data is deleted, the system updates the statistics and issues the "Agent Uninstall " command to release the agent ID.
