How Is Cloud Log Service Billed For?

eSurfing Cloud's Cloud Log Service adopts pay-as-you-go (postpaid) billing by default. You are charged based on the actual log storage volume, read-write traffic and other billing items. In each settlement cycle, a bill is generated and the corresponding fees are deducted from your account.

According to the fee type, the billing items of Cloud Log Service include log storage volume and log read-write traffic. For detailed information on the billing factors, billing formula and other details of each billing item, refer to Description of Billing Items.

Log Storage Volume	Log storage volume is the storage volume generated when raw logs are compressed.
Log Read-Write Traffic	When the compressed data is uploaded to Cloud Log Service, the write traffic is billed based on the amount of transmitted data.

How to Stop Billing?

This section describes how to stop the billing of Cloud Log Service.

Cloud Log Service can collect log data from elastic cloud servers (ECSs) and other cloud services. If you need to stop the billing, see the following operations:

Stopping Billing for All Log Services

If you need to stop billing for all log services, you do not need to unsubscribe from Cloud Log Service. By logging in to the Cloud Log Service console and deleting all log projects, you can stop all billing items of Cloud Log Service.

Note:

After deleting a log project, the log data will be deleted at the same time and cannot be restored. Please operate with caution.

Stop Billing for Part of the Services

If you need to stop the billing for a cloud server or cloud service, you can delete the corresponding log project/unit. Then, the log collection under the log unit will be stopped, and related fees such as log storage, and read-write traffic, will no longer be billed for.

Note:

After deleting a log project, the log data will be deleted at the same time and cannot be restored. Please operate with caution.

How Are Logs Billed After They Are Delivered to ZOS?

The log delivery function of Cloud Log Service is currently free of charge. However, after the log data is delivered to ZOS, the log data storage will be billed for independently by eSurfing Cloud ZOS.
