This section describes how to create a data processing task in Cloud Log Service.

Cloud Log Service allows you to create a data processing task to read data from a source log unit and write the processed data to one or more target log units. You can also query and analyze the processed data to create more value. This section describes how to create a data processing task in the Cloud Log Service console.

Procedure

Previewing Data to Be Processed

Select the Target Log Project item and Log Unit, and click the + button in Data Processing on the left navigation bar.

Select the time range of the logs to be processed, and enter a processing statement on the page.
After entering the processing statement, click Preview Data to preview the data processing result and summary.
You can click on the raw log to view the raw log before processing. By default, the first 10 logs in the raw log are taken for processing and preview. You can also click Add Test Data to preview the processing for specific logs.

Creating a Processing Task

If you confirm that the processing results in the preview are as expected, you can click Save Processing Data .
In the Create Data Processing Task window, configure the parameters based on the following information, and then click OK .

Parameter	Description
Task Name	Name of the data processing task.
Storage Target Name	Name of the storage target. In the Storage Target section, you must configure parameters including the log project and log unit.
Target Log Project	The target log project used to store the data processing results.
Target Log Unit	The target log unit used to store the data processing results.
Processing Range	Continuous Processing: The data processing tasks will be running continuously. Specified End Time: You can specify the end time of the data processing task.

Following Steps

On the Data Processing Overview page in the left navigation bar, you can view the details of the task and perform other operations, such as modifying or pausing the task.
In the target log project and log unit, perform query and analysis operations.
