This section describes how Cloud Log Service assigns values to empty fields in logs.

In log processing, you can use the e_set function to assign values to empty fields.

Scenario 1: Assigning a Value When the Original Field Does Not Exist or Is Empty

Function:

e_set("result","......value......",mode="fill")

The values of the mode parameter are in the table below:

Parameter Value	Description
fill	Sets the target field when it does not exist or has a null value.
fill-auto	Sets the target field when the new value is non-null and the target field does not exist or has a null value.
add	Sets the target field when it does not exist.
add-auto	Sets the target field when the new value is non-null and the target field does not exist.
overwrite	Always sets the target field.
overwrite-auto	Sets the target field, when the new value is non-null.

Example:

name:

e_set("name","aspara2.0",mode="fill")

name:aspara2.0

Scenario 2: Assigning Values to Multiple Fields

Function:

e_set("k1","v1","k2","v2","k3","v3",......)

Example:

__source__:192.168.0.1__topic__:__tag__:__receive_time__:id:7990test_string:<functiontest1at0x1020401e0>

Processing Rules

Then values are assigned to the topic , tag . and receive_time fields.
