This section describes how to create an alarm rule in the Cloud Log Service

A management unit for monitoring alarms. A completed alarm rule contains information such as the log unit objects for monitoring, trigger conditions, check frequency, notification policy, and alarm content. This section describes how to create an alarm rule.

Before You Begin

A log project and a log unit have been created and log data has bee ingested to Cloud Log Service. For details, see Collecting Logs.
A notification policy has been created. For details see Notification Policy Management.

Procedure

Log in to the Cloud Log Service console.
In the left navigation bar, click the Alarm Rules module to enter the Alarm Rules page.
Click Create Alarm Rule .
To create an alarm configuration, you need to configure the parameters as follows. Click New to complete the alarm rule settings.

Parameter	Description
Alarm name	Specify an alarm name.
Check Frequency	The execution cycle of an alarm rule. Supports fixed frequency and fixed time. ● Fixed frequency: executes a monitoring task at a fixed interval. The interval can be set in minutes, hours, and days. ● Fixed time: executes a monitoring task at a fixed time point every day.
Log Query	● Query object: Select the log project and log unit to be monitored. Multiple log units can be monitored at the same time. ● Query time range: The time range for retrieving the target log units. ● Query execution: The retrieval conditions for the target log unit. You can click thePreviewbutton to preview the retrieval results. When the results meet the trigger conditions, an alarm is triggered.
Trigger Conditions	When the retrieval results of the target log units meet the trigger conditions, an alarm notification is triggered. Multiple trigger conditions can be set at the same time. Currently, two types of trigger conditions are supported: ● Results matched: When the retrieval results contain log data, an alarm is triggered. ● Specific pieces of data: When the log data in the retrieval results meets certain conditions, an alarm is triggered and conditional expressions can be set.
Notification Policy	Select a notification policy you have created.
Content	The alarm content acts as a field in the alarm information, and supports the insertion of various variables.
