What Is Cloud Log Service?

Cloud Log Service is a cloud-native log observation and analysis platform made by eSurfing Cloud. It provides large-scale, low-cost, centralized platform services for massive log data of applications, can collect, process, query and analyze logs, and has visualization, alarm and delivery for consumption capabilities, fully meeting application scenarios such as application R&D, O&M, service monitoring, and business analysis.

What Functions Does Cloud Log Service Include?

Log collection: Logs can be collected from cloud servers, container applications, microservice applications, and other components. The collection rules support dynamic configuration and provide structuring log parsing with single-line/multi-line full texts, regular expressions, delimiters, and JSON.

Log retrieval: For collected log data, fuzzy queries, full-text queries, field queries, time range queries, and contextual queries are supported.

Statistical analysis: Supports various statistical analysis scenarios.

Data processing: Supports processing of log data, including data normalization, desensitization and filtering.

Log delivery: Log data can be delivered to Kafka and ZOS.

You can set custom alarm rules for one or more log units. The alarm rules will perform monitoring tasks at the set interval.

How to Get Started with Cloud Log Service?

Before using Cloud Log Service, you need to complete eSurfing Cloud account registration and real-name authentication. After completing the real-name authentication, open the product detail page, click Activate Now , and follow the instructions to activate Cloud Log Service. For details, see Getting Started.

How Is Cloud Log Service Billed For?

Before using eSurfing Cloud–Cloud Log Service, you need to subscribe to the service first. There is no charge for the subscription. After you activate the service, billing will be based on your actual usage. For details, see Billing.

How to Disable Cloud Log Service?

The service cannot be disabled at the moment. If you no longer use Cloud Log Service, you can delete all your log projects without deleting your account. For details, see User Guide–Managing Log Projects.

Cloud Log Service or Self-built ELK, Which Should I Choose?

Compared with self-built ELK (Elasticsearch/Logstash/Kibana), eSurfing Cloud's Cloud Log Service has the following advantages:
