Scalable File Service

Expanding File System Capacity

2024-09-11 07:07:04

Application Scenarios

When you perceive insufficient capacity in the file system, you can increase its capacity by capacity expansion.

Precautions

Ÿ   Currently, the file system only supports capacity expansion and does not support shrinkage. You can purchase a small-capacity new file system for file migration.

Ÿ   The initial capacity quota of the single-user and single-region SFS is 50 TB, shared by all file systems opened under the account. Therefore, the capacity expansion rule is that the total capacity of the expanded file system <= (the quota capacity of the cloud account minus the sum of the total capacity of other file systems under the cloud account).

Ÿ   If the quota is insufficient, you can click Learn quota details on the File System list page to submit an order and apply for adding the quota.

Procedure

1.       Log in to the eSurfing Cloud Console, click  in the upper left corner of the console, and select a region.

2.       Select Storage Console > Scalable File Service to go to the Scalable File Service page.

3.       On the File System list page, click More > Expand in the system Operation bar for the file to be expanded.

4.       In the pop-up Expand dialog box, select the capacity specification according to your actual needs.

5.       After completing the capacity setting, click OK for payment in the Annual/Monthly Package mode; click OK on the pop-up interface in the Pay-As-You-Go mode to complete the capacity expansion.

6.       After the capacity expansion is complete, you can see the expanded capacity on the File System Details page.
