Overview

By using the alarm function of Cloud Eye, you can set alarm rules for key monitoring indicators of SFS. When the monitoring indicators trigger the alarm conditions set by you, Cloud Eye sends emails or SMS to you. In this way, you are immediately informed of cloud service exceptions and can quickly handle the faults to avoid service losses. Procedure

Log in to the eSurfing Cloud Console, click in the upper left corner of the console, and select a region.
Click Management and Deployment > Cloud Eye to go to the Cloud Eye page.
Click the Cloud Service Monitoring drop-down menu, select Alarm Service > Alarm Rules ,and go to the Alarm Rules page.
You can create alarm rules through the following three entrances:

Entrance 1: On the Cloud Service Monitoring > SFS Monitoring page, you can click Create Alarm Rule under the Operation bar of the destination file system. Select the creating rules for alarm service monitoring indicators, including monitoring thresholds, notification frequencies, notification methods, etc.
Entrance 2: On the Cloud Service Monitoring > Scalable File Monitoring page, click View Monitoring Chart under the Operation bar of the destination file system to go to the Monitoring Details page of the file system. On the upper-right side of the target monitoring item chart, click "+” to create the alarm rule for this monitoring item.
Entrance 3: Click the Cloud Service Monitoring drop-down menu, select Alarm Service Alarm Rules , go to the Alarm Rules page, click Create Alarm Rule at the upper-right of the page, and select Monitoring Services (such as Scalable file and file system names, monitoring dimensions, instances, metrics, or other parameters) to create corresponding alarm rules.

According to the interface prompts, configure the relevant metrics of the alarm rules. The configuration parameters are shown in the table:

Parameter	Description
Select Type	Select Custom Creation or Import from the Template. Import from template: Select an existing template in the drop-down box.SeeAlarm Template-Cloud Eye Service-User Guide. Custom creation: Configuration parameter selection is required.
Monitoring Indicator	For details, seeMonitoring Indicators.
Policy	Supported aggregate values: Raw, mean, max, and min Supported policies: ≥,>, ≤,<, and=. Value: Fill in the set value.
Polymerization Cycle	Options include: 1 minute, 5 minutes, 20 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, 12 hours, or 24 hours. You can select according to the alarm rule requirements.
Number of occurrences	Select the number of occurrences that meet the policy value.
Sending Notice	Disabled: you do not need to configure the subsequent notification rules; enabled: you need to configure the following relevant parameters and select the sending mode of notifications.
Select Alarm Contact Group	SelectAlarm Contact Groupin the drop-down box. If no alarm contact groups are available, you need to add an Alarm contact/alarm contact group.
Alarm repetition	You can select no repetition, 1 time, 2 times, 3 times.
Trigger Scene	When an alarm is triggered or the monitoring item returns to normal.
Notification Cycle	Select the time to receive the notification. Check Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday according to your demands. For example, if Monday is not checked, the notification message is received on Monday.
Notification Period	Select a specific period for receiving notifications, such as 6:30-7:30.
Notification Mode	Mail or SMS.
Alarm callback	Please fill in a specific URL.
Rule Name	Fill in the name of the alarm rule.
Enterprise Project	Select the enterprise project to which the alarm rule belongs.
Description	Fill in the description of the alarm rule (limited to 100 words).

After setting the corresponding parameters, click OK and wait until the alarm rule is created. When the alarm rule of SFS is set, the system automatically sends a notification when the alarm that meets the rules is generated.
