Relational Database Service (MySQL)

Unsubscription

2024-07-08 06:25:29

This section describes how to unsubscribe from an RDS for MySQL instance.

Application Scenarios

You can manually unsubscribe from an instance to release resources, depending on your service requirements. Make sure that you back up your data before applying for unsubscribing the MySQL instance.

² Note

Unsubscribing from an RDS for MySQL instance will result in the data on the instance being deleted. In addition, all backups are deleted synchronously and resources are recycled, which cannot be restored. Please operate with caution.

Constraints and Restrictions

1. When unsubscribing from a primary instance, the read-only instances (if available) will be unsubscribed at the same time. The read-only instances cannot be stopped separately.

2. If you use the ZOS product to store backup data when ordering instances, after your instance is unsubscribed, the backup will continue to be billed. For billing details, see the Billing Item of ZOS.

3. If you unsubscribe from the MySQL database, the period of less than a full month is billed based on the actual number of days within the current month.

4. After you unsubscribe from the MySQL database, the instance will be frozen within 15 days. If the database is not renewed after the freezing period, the instance will be deleted.

Procedure

1. Log in to the Console.

2. Click  in the upper left corner of the Console, and select Region and Project.

3. Select Database > Relational database... Go to the MySQL Console.

4. On the Instance Management page, select the specified instance, click More and select Unsubscribe to go to the Unsubscribe page, where you can unsubscribe from the instance;

5. Click Confirm to complete the unsubscription. Make sure that you back up your data before applying for the unsubscription.
