Migration Policy

A migration policy refers to a plan and methodology for determining how applications and data will be moved to the cloud during migration. These include when to migrate, how to migrate, the type of data to migrate, and how to configure security and networking settings.

Scope of Migration

The scope of migration refers to a detailed list of applications (codes, configurations, and databases) and data that you need to migrate to the cloud. This list must include applications, databases, and files.

Migration Group

When creating a migration plan, you can use a migration group to group resources to be migrated to facilitate subsequent migration operations and management.

Migration Plan

A migration plan is the basic unit for migration. You can migrate resources in migration groups by plans in different batches based on business systems, and view the plan status in the progress dashboard in the Migration Management module.

Cost Evaluation

This feature provides a comprehensive cost analysis for enterprise cloud migration, including migrating a self-built IDC to the cloud and migrating to eSurfing Cloud from other cloud service providers. This feature is designed to help users or enterprises quickly implement eSurfing Cloud product mapping and cost analysis & comparison to compare the advantages and disadvantages of different cloud service providers from the perspective of cost, and then assist users in selecting cloud migration options that suit their needs.

Scheduling Task

A scheduling task helps you centrally schedule and manage resources in a migration plan. Using a scheduling task, you can schedule basic migration operations, deliver multiple migration tool tasks in parallel, manage concurrent migration, and automatically execute migration tasks based on customized scheduling rules.

Target Cloud Environment

The target cloud environment refers to the cloud platform to which applications and data are migrated, that is, the destination to which applications and data are migrated.

Migration Tool

A migration tool is used to migrate business applications and data from an on-premises environment to a cloud platform. The server migration tool, database migration tool, ZOS migration tool, and Huawei heterogeneous migration tool are included in the CMS tool center.

Migration Report
