Cloud Migration Service (CT-CMS)

Compression Ratio Adjustment

2024-12-27 02:17:03

You can set the compression ratio of the migration task on the Migration Task Configuration page.

Note: We recommend that you do not adjust the compression ratio. Please use the default compression ratio in Windows and Linux-based devices for migration tasks.

Set the compression ratio for migration. Set the compression ratio to 0 to disable compression. The maximum compression ratio is 9. We recommend that you use the default value. Check the CPU resources of the source server. If the CPU resources are sufficient, increase the compression ratio as appropriate to reduce the bandwidth usage. For 100M 3G data servers with 2C4G, when the compression ratio is set to 0, the migration process takes 3 minutes and 40 seconds with CPU utilization up to 50%. For the same data server, when the compression ratio is set to 9, the migration process takes 2 minutes and 50 seconds with CPU utilization up to 99%.
