You can use the VBS to backup and recover the data of the EVS. It supports the creation of a new EVS with the backup of the EVS. You can select different availability zones to create a new EVS and mount it to the EVS, so as to realize data migration between ECSs in different availability zones.

Solution Advantages

It is easy to operate and can quickly help you to migrate the data on the data disk. The backup can be operated at disk level, so you can select the data disks under different ECSs for migration to realize the reorganization of data on different ECSs.

Prerequisites

Please make sure the current backup is in Available status.

Operation Steps

Step 1: Creating EVS Backup

Log in to eSurfing Cloud Console;
Select Storage > VBS in the product list;
Select the corresponding repository and click [ Create Backup ] in the operation column;
Select [ Backup Now ] to immediately complete the backup of the target EVS;
View the [ Backup Copy ] list, and wait for the status of the created backup to change to [ Available ], which means the creation of the backup is completed.

Step 2: Create New EVS through VBS

Log in to eSurfing Cloud Console;
Select Storage > VBS in the product list;
Find the backup corresponding to the EVS;
Click Create New EVS on the row where the backup is located;
On the opened page, you can select another [ Available Zone ] and configure parameters such as name, quantity, business project, etc., and then click Buy Now.
