Binding an EVS to a Backup Policy

Application Scenarios

After creating a backup policy, you can bind an EVS to the backup policy, thus associating the backup policy with the target EVS.

Prerequisites

l  You have created at least one backup policy.

l  If the EVS is attached, the attached cloud server must be running or shut down.

Constraints and Restrictions

If the selected EVS is already bound to another backup policy, after selecting a new backup policy, the EVS will automatically unbind from the original backup policy and bind to the new backup policy.

Procedure

1.      Log in to the Console page.

2.      Click  in the upper left corner of the Console and select Region.

3.      Click Storage Console > Volume Backup Service, click Backup Policy, and go to the Volume Backup Service Policy tab.

4.      Click the name of the backup policy to bind the EVS and go to the Backup Policy Details page.

5.      On the Backup Policy Details page, select the Bound Elastic Volume Service tab and click the Bind button.

6.      In the Bind Disk pop-up window, select and check the EVS to be bound in the Disk List and click the 图片 button. Then, the EVS to be bound appears in the Checked Disks.

7.      Check I have read and agreed to the relevant agreement Volume Backup Service Agreement and click OK to complete the binding operation.
