It provides users with crash-consistent EVS backup service which can save system disk data for them. When the EVS data is damaged, it can be recovered at one click with the backup copy and rolled back to the backup time point so as to resume the operating environment of business.

Solution Advantages

The backup is operated at the level of the EVS. You can select the system disk or data disk for backup as per use, thereby reducing unnecessary backup and improving the utilization of the repository.
It is easy to operate. The EVS can be backed up in batches. You don't need to shut down or unmount the EVS when executing the backup.
It is convenient for users to flexibly combine the data of ECSs.

Prerequisites

You have purchased the backup repository and the source repository is in available status;
Shut down the ECS or unmount the EVS before executing the backup recovery;
The backup status should be [ Available ].

Operation Steps

Step 1: Creating Backup

Log in to eSurfing Cloud Console;
Select Storage > VBS in the product list;
Select the corresponding repository and click [ Create Backup ] in the operation column;
Select [ Backup Now ] to immediately complete the backup of the target EVS;
View the [ Backup Copy ] list, and wait for the status of the created backup to change to [ Available ], which means the creation of the backup is completed.

Step 2: Backup Recovery

Log in to eSurfing Cloud Console;
Select Storage > VBS in the product list;
Find the backup corresponding to the EVS;
Click Recovery on the row where the backup is located;
Click OK and confirm whether the backup recovery is successful. You can check the execution status of the backup recovery in the backup list. The recovery is successful until the Backup Status of the backup returns to Available .
