Application Scenarios
If a storage policy is not bound to a repository during creation, you can follow the steps outlined in this section to bind a backup policy to the repository.
Prerequisites
l A repository is created. For details, see Creating a Repository.
l A backup policy is created. For details, see Creating a Backup Policy.
l The backup policy has not been bound to another repository.
Procedure
1. Log in to the Console page.
2. Click in the upper left corner of the Console and select Region.
3. Click Storage Console > Volume Backup Service to go to the Volume Backup Service page.
4. Select the Repository tab, select the repository to bind the backup policy to, and click the name to go to the Repository Details page.
5. In the Backup Policy tab, click Bind Backup Policy.
6. Select the backup policy to bind in the pop-up window, click the
button, and add it to the Selected Backup Policy on the right. Then, click OK to complete the binding.
Note: You can only select a backup policy that has not been bound to another repository. If the storage policy to bind has been bound to another repository, unbind and then bind to the new repository. For the steps to unbind a backup policy, see Unbinding a Backup Policy from a Repository.
