Application Scenarios
You can manually execute a backup policy to back up the associated EVS immediately.
Prerequisites
l You have created at least one backup policy.
l You have bound at least one EVS to the backup policy.
l You have bound at least one repository to the backup policy.
Constraints and Restrictions
l If the EVS associated with the backup policy is executing a backup task, you cannot manually execute the backup policy immediately.
l If the cloud server attached to the EVS associated with the backup policy is executing a backup task, you cannot manually execute the backup policy immediately.
l If a manual backup task is still in progress but the periodic backup schedule of this backup policy begins to work, the system will prioritize manual backup and cancel the current periodic backup schedule. An interval of at least three hours is recommended between the above two operations.
Procedure
Currently, you can execute the backup policy immediately either with the Volume Backup Service Repository or the Volume Backup Service Policy tab.
Executing with the Volume Backup Service Repository Tab
1. Log in to the Console page.
2. Click 
in the upper left corner of the Console and select Region.
3. Click Storage Console > Volume Backup Service to go to the Volume Backup Service page.
4. In the Repository list, click the corresponding repository name and go to the Repository Details page.
5. In the Backup Policy tab, select the corresponding backup policy, and click Back up Now in the Operation column.
6. In the Back up Now pop-up window, click OK to execute immediate backup.
Executing on the Volume Backup Service Policy tab
1. Log in to the Console page.
2. Click in the upper left corner of the Console and select Region.
3. Click Storage Console > Volume Backup Service, click Backup Policy, and go to the Volume Backup Service Policy tab.
4. In the row where the backup policy you want to execute the manual backup is located, click Operation > More > Back up Now.
5. In the confirmation window for immediate backup, click OK to complete the operation.
