Application Scenarios

Cloud Eye supports the flexible creation of alarm rules. You can customize alarm rules for monitoring indicators of a specific backup repository based on actual needs, and use alarm templates to batch-create alarm rules for multiple resources or cloud services.

Cloud Eye not only allows monitoring of repository indicators but also provides event monitoring for your use.

The event monitoring supported by Volume Backup Service (VBS) is shown in the table below:

Procedure

Log in to the Console .
Click in the upper left corner of the Console page and select the region.
Select Management and Deployment , click Cloud Eye and go to the Monitoring Overview page.
Click the Alarm Service dropdown menu, then click Alarm Rule to enter the Alarm Rule List page.
In the Alarm Rule List interface, click the Create Alarm Rule button.
On the Create Alarm Rule page, set parameters according to the interface prompts.

Once an alarm rule is created, Cloud Eye will promptly notify you via email in real time about any cloud resource abnormality when the monitoring indicator triggers the defined threshold, helping prevent potential business losses.
