Create Instance

2024-05-24 07:42:56

eSurfing Cloud DCS Redis provides instances with a variety of performance and storage specifications. You can purchase Redis instances based on your business needs, and you can purchase multiple Redis instances at the same time.

Before You Begin

Having an eSurfing Cloud account that has passed real-name authentication.

The instance dependency resources are ready.

Procedure

1. Log in to the eSurfing Cloud portal and select the appropriate resource pool and region, which can effectively reduce network latency and improve access speed.

2. Enter the service list, and select DCS Redis to enter the DCS Redis console.

3. Click Purchase DCS Instance in the upper right corner of the console to enter the purchase page.

4. Select Billing Mode.

5. Set the following basic information:

Parameter

Description

Billing Mode

There are two billing modes, namely annual/monthly and pay-as-you-go billing. The default duration of an annual/monthly subscription is 1 month, but the subscription duration can be selected from 1-12 months, 2 years or 3 years at the bottom of the page. Pay-as-you-go billing refers to billing based on time.

Region

You can switch regions in the upper left corner of the page.

Version No.

Supports Redis 2.8/4.0/5.0/6.0/7.0 kernel versions.

Instance Type

Active/standby: leader-follower hot-standby deployment architecture, data persistence, and automatic failover.

Stand-alone: single-node deployment, and supports data persistence.

Active/standby cluster: proxy mode cluster, multiple data shards, and leader-follower hot-standby deployment architecture for each shard.

Single-node cluster: proxy mode cluster, multiple data shards, and single-node deployment architecture for each shard.

Active/standby cluster: direct-connect mode cluster, multiple data shards, and leader-follower hot-standby deployment architecture for each shard.

Single-node cluster: Direct-connect mode cluster, multiple data shards, and single-node deployment architecture for each shard.

For specific instance types, see Instance Types chapter.

Instance Specifications

Stand-alone and active/standby instances support 1G-64G;

Single-node cluster instances support 16G-512G;

Active/standby cluster instances support 16G-1T;

Single-node cluster and active/standby cluster can have 3-64 shards, 1-64G per shard.

Virtual Private Cloud (VPC)

Click the drop-down box to select the created VPCs. Click the refresh button on the right to refresh the drop-down box. Click View VPC to enter the VPC management page to add, delete, modify and edit the CIDR blocks. For details, see Creating a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC). Before an Elastic Cloud Server (ECS) builds an isolated virtual network environment that is independently configured and managed by the user, you must first apply for a VPC.

Subnet

Click the drop-down box to select a subnet that has been created under the current VPC. You can enter the subnet management page to add, delete, and modify the VPC subnet. For details, see Creating a Subnet.

Security Group

Click the security group drop-down box to select a security group that has been created under the current VPC. The system will create a security group for every user by default. A security group is a logical group that provides access policies for ECSs in the same VPC that have the same security protection requirements and trust each other. For details on security group management, see. Creating a Security Group.

Password

The password should be 8 to 26 characters in length and must contain uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special symbols in English format (@%^*_+) and cannot contain spaces.

Please manage your password properly. The system is unable to retrieve the password you have set.

Confirming the Password

Confirm the password again, which should be consistent with the above password.

Instance Name

The system generates a default DCS instance name (which can be modified by the user). The initial instance name is used as the instance ID in the connection authentication process. The instance ID cannot be modified after successful instance creation.

Subscription Duration

Subscription duration applies when the annual/monthly billing mode takes effect, with options such as 1-6 months and 1 year.

Auto-renewal

Check the box for auto-renewal to automatically renew the annual/monthly instance when it expires. Monthly subscription: the duration for auto-renewal is 1 month; yearly subscription: the duration for auto-renewal is 1 year.

Quantity

The purchased number of instances with the above specifications.

6. After confirming the order information, click Create Now to enter the order confirmation page. Instance activation typically takes a few minutes. After successful activation, you can see the purchased instances on the instance list page.
