Elastic Volume Service (EVS) is an elastically scalable block storage device that provides high-performance and highly reliable block storage services for physical servers. eSurfing Cloud provides multiple EVS specifications to meet business needs in different scenarios, including distributed file systems, databases, and development & test environments.

l  Users cannot mount EVS to some physical server specifications.

l  Users can mount EVS types including Common I/O (SATA), High I/O (SAS), Ultra-High I/O (SSD), and Generic SSD (SSD) to some physical server specifications. Users can configure data disks with the desired I/O capabilities according to the business type of their physical server. For more information, see EVS Documentation.

Note: You can check whether you can mount an EVS to your physical server specification on the configuration interface, as shown in the following figure.

(1)       If you cannot mount an EVS to your physical server specification, you will be prompted with "You cannot mount an EVS to the selected specification" when you mount an EVS on the configuration interface. See the following figure:

(2)       If you can mount an EVS to your physical server specification, a list of EVS will be displayed for your choice when you mount an EVS on the configuration interface. See the following figure:
