Resource Location
Some resources can be used in all regions (globally), while others are specific to the region or availability zone in which they are located.

eSurfing Cloud account | Global | You can use the same eSurfing Cloud account in all regions. |
Resource identifier | Regional | Each resource identifier (for example, instance ID, EVS ID, VPC ID) is associated with its region. |
Resource name customized by users | Regional | Each resource name (for example, security group name, key pair name) is associated with its region. Although resources with the same name can be created in multiple regions, they are not associated with each other. |
VPC | Regional | A virtual private cloud is associated with a region and can only be associated with instances in the same region. |
Elastic IP (EIP) | Regional | An elastic IP is associated with a region and can only be associated with instances in the same region. |
Security Group | Regional | A security group is associated with a region and can only be assigned to instances in the same region. |
Image | Regional | An image is associated with a region and can only be associated with instances in the same region. |
Instance | Availability Zone | An instance is associated with an availability zone, and an instance ID is associated with a region. |
Disk | Availability Zone | A disk is associated with an availability zone and can only be mounted to instances in the same availability zone. |
Subnet | Availability Zone | A subnet is associated with an availability zone and can only be associated with instances in the same availability zone. |
Adjusting Resource Quota
In order to prevent resource abuse, the platform limits the quota of each service resource and also the number and capacity of resources available to users, for example, how many physical servers and EVS disks can users create.
If the current resource quota cannot meet your business needs, you can apply for a quota increase.
Viewing Quota
1. Log in to the console.
2. Click at the top of the console, and select a region. In this topic, Hong Kong 2 is selected.
3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Service List, and go to Computing > Physical Server.
4. On the physical server list page, you can view the resource quota of the physical server.
5. You can view the total quota and usage of each resource on the View Quota Details page.

3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Service List, and go to Computing > Physical Server.
4. On the physical server list page, click View Quota Details.
5. In the upper right corner, click Apply for Quota Increase.
6. On the Create Ticket page, enter related parameters as needed.
7. Among them, enter the content to adjust and the reason for application in the Issue Description field.
8. Then, check the Agreement and click Submit.
