Silent Installation
In this example, the response file is used for silent installation, without the need of configuring the Cloud Laptop (Linux). To install the software using the GUI, please refer to the Oracle Documentation.
The default silent installation configuration files for Oracle Grid are located in /u01/app/grid_home/install/response/gridsetup.rsp.
Oracle DBA must modify some key configuration items as follows:
l oracle.install.crs.config.clusterNodes=rac-node01:rac-node01-vip,rac-node02:rac-node02-vip: Set a cluster node.
l oracle.install.crs.config.networkInterfaceList=ens2:192.168.100.0:5,ens5:192.168.0.0:1: Set NICs used by PUBLIC and ASM&PRIVATE networks.
l oracle.install.asm.diskGroup.disks=/dev/vdc,/dev/vdd,/dev/vde: Set a quorum disk.
After the silent installation configuration files get ready, you can try to install them in sequence (switch to the Grid user and then to the /u01/app/grid_home/ directory):
[grid@rac-node01 grid_home]$ ./gridSetup.sh -silent -responseFileinstall/response/gridsetup.rsp
If your installation attempt fails, locate error items against the error log. After eliminating errors or checking that legacy issues can be ignored, ignore the dependency error by adding the -ignorePrereqFailure parameter.

Executing Script After Installation
Upon completion of installation, the execution output will ask you to execute the script as the root account. Execute the script on each node:

Check After Installation
Note: The HAIP feature is unavailable. The heartbeat communication is blocked and you will be prompted that the OCR disk group is not normally mounted. If you do not have the requirement for heartbeat load balancing, disable the HAIP feature to restore the cluster status.

Configuration After Installing Grid (Important)
For users who do not have multiple heartbeats but require HA or load balancing, perform the following steps to disable interconnect HAIP. Disabling this feature does not affect the normal functioning of Oracle RAC.
l Stop CRS on all nodes
crsctl stop crs
l On each node, run the following commands in turns to disable HAIP as a dependency
crsctl start crs -excl -nocrscrsctl stop res ora.asm -initcrsctl modify res ora.cluster_interconnect.haip -attr "ENABLED=0" -initcrsctl modify res ora.asm -attr"START_DEPENDENCIES='hard(ora.cssd,ora.ctssd)pullup(ora.cssd,ora.ctssd)weak(ora.drivers.acfs)',STOP_DEPENDENCIES='hard(intermediate:ora.cssd)'" -initcrsctl stop crs
l Start each node in sequence
crsctl start crs
l Check the cluster status and check that the OCR disk group goes online
