Before you use an alarm template to create alarm rules, Cloud Eye has customized the default alarm template for each cloud service for your choice based on the application attributes of each cloud service and years of experience in cloud monitoring development and maintenance. At the same time, Cloud Eye allows you to create a custom alarm template. You can modify the recommended monitoring metrics in the default template or add a custom alarm metric to add a custom alarm template.
Operation Steps
1. Log in to the console.
2. Click at the top of the console, and select a region. In this topic, Hong Kong 2 is selected.
3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Service List, and go to Security > Cloud Eye.
4. In the Cloud Eye function list on the left, click Physical Server Monitoring.
5. Locate the row that contains the physical server for which you want to create an alarm, click Create Alarm Rule in the Operation column.
6. On the Create Alarm Rule page, configure the parameters as instructed on the screen.
7. Click OK to create the alarm rule.
8. After the alarm rule is added, when a monitoring metric triggers a preset threshold, Cloud Eye will notify you of cloud resource exceptions via email to prevent service loss. For more information, see Create Alarm Rule.
