Multiple Specifications

EVS disks are classified into the following types by I/O performance: Common I/O, High I/O, Generic SSD, Ultra-High I/O, Fast SSD, XSSD-1, and XSSD-2. You can select the EVS disk of proper type based on your business requirements and budget, attach it to an ECS or a physical server, and use it as a system disk or a data disk. Elastic Scaling

EVS provides two ways to scale up storage space online to meet the increasing storage space needs of users.

Users can mount multiple EVS disks to a single ECS to scale up the storage space. The total number of EVS disks mounted to a single cloud server must not exceed the quota limit of EVS disks that can be mounted to a single cloud server.
Users can also scale up a single EVS to scale up the storage space. The scale-up of an EVS is affected by the maximum capacity of a single EVS and the capacity quota for a single user in a certain region. Therefore, the new scale-up capacity for a user can neither exceed the maximum capacity of a single EVS nor the remaining capacity quota displayed in the system.

Note:

You can submit a ticket to mount a maximum of 23 EVS disks to a single cloud server.
The minimum capacity of an EVS disk is 10 GB, and the maximum capacity is 64 TB.
On the Quota page, you can view the capacity quota for a single user in a region and can also apply for quota increase to meet your business needs.

High Reliability

EVS disks use distributed storage. Each data block is stored in multiple copies in back-end servers. and these data copies are synchronized in real time. This ensures data security and reliability and prevents data loss due to power failure or faults. Data persistence can reach 99.9999999%.
EVS provides the encryption function to ensure the security of system disks and data disks.
EVS supports backup and snapshot functions, providing powerful data protection and improving data reliability, flexibility, and disaster recovery capability.

Ultra-high Performance

EVS brings you the ultimate storage experience with low latency and high performance.
A single EVS supports a maximum random IOPS of 1,000,000, a throughput of 4,000 MBps, and a latency within 100 microseconds, meeting high-performance application scenarios.
