This chapter provides a list of supported ECS specification families for mounting the EVS.
ECS Specifications
Each ECS specification is provided by different hardware devices with varying performance and pricing. Based on your business needs and configurations, such as vCPU, memory, network performance, and storage throughput, the eSurfing Cloud ECS offers a variety of instance specifications, each with multiple instance types.
Instance Name format: x<Type>x<Generation>.xxxx<vCPU Count>.x<Memory Count/vCPU Count Ratio>:
<Type>: Indicates the ECS Type, such as s, m, c, k, h, f, ip, and d. Specifically, s: general-purpose, m: memory-optimized, c: computing-plus, k: Kunpeng, h: Hygon, f: Phytium, ip: ultra-high I/O local ECS, and d: disk-plus ECS.
<Generation>: Indicates the hardware generation, such as 2, and 6. Generally, higher numbers imply better performance.
<vCPU Count>: Indicates the number of vCPU cores, such as small, medium, large, and xlarge. Specifically, medium: 1 vCPU, large: 2 vCPU, xlarge: 4 vCPU, and small: 1 vCPU 1G.
<Memory Count/vCPU Count Ratio>: Indicates the ratio between memory (GB) and vCPU, such as 1, 2, 4, and 8.
For example, s2.2xlarge.1 represents a Generation 2 general-purpose ECS with 8 vCPUs and 8GB of memory.
