This topic describes how to modify the name of an EVS.
Scenario
An EVS name usually identifies a disk. Follow instructions in this topic if you want to modify the EVS name after the EVS is created.
Restriction and Limitations
You can modify the EVS name only when the EVS is in the Attached or Unattached state.
Operation Steps
You can modify the EVS name in the following steps.
1. Log in to the console.
2. Click 
in the upper left corner of the console and select a region. In this topic, China (Hong Kong 2) is selected.
3. Click Storage > Elastic Volume Server to go to the EVS home page.
4. In the Elastic Volume Service List, locate the EVS for which you want to modify the name and click the EVS name. You will be directed to the EVS details page.
5. Click Edit next to the EVS name.
6. When the EVS name becomes editable, enter a new EVS name.
7. After the modification is complete, click 
, The new EVS name is displayed on the EVS details page.
