Application Scenarios
You can change the CPU/memory specifications of your database instance based on your actual business needs.
Constraints and Restrictions
• Currently, the specification can only be upgraded.
• Specification changes are limited to CPU and memory and need to operate within the specifications supported by the RDS-PostgreSQL product.
• To change the specification, make sure that your account balance is greater than 0 yuan and sufficient to pay for the change from the original specification to the new specification.
• The specification change will restart your database instance. Please perform this operation during the off-peak period of business to minimize the impact on business.
Procedure
1. Log in to the eSurfing Cloud Portal.
2. Click Console and select the corresponding resource pool, such as East China 1.
3. Select RDS-PostgreSQL and click it to go to the Console Administration page.
4. On the List of Instances page, select the instance you want to expand the specification and click the More option in the Operation column.
5. Click Specification Expansion in the More option to jump to the Specification Expansion page.
6. On the Specification Expansion interface, you only need to select the Specification Code to which the current instance needs to be expanded. Confirm the latest CPU/memory specifications of the instance and click Submit.
7. Jump to the Order Payment Details interface, confirm that the order information is correct, and click Pay Now.
8. After the order payment is completed, the system begins to expand the specification. You can see that the Status is Expanding in the List of Instances of the Console. When the instance specification expansion is completed, refresh the page. When Status displays Running, click Instance Name/Instance ID and check Specification Name in Product Specifications on the Instance Details page to confirm whether the expansion is successful.
