Restoring to a specified time point refers to restoring a database to its status at a particular time point in the past.
Application Scenarios
RDS-PostgreSQL allows you to restore instance data to a specified time point using existing automatic backups and manual backups. When you select to restore an instance to a specified time point, the system selects a full backup closest to the time point from the backup node and restores it to the instance. The restoration time depends on the data volume of the instance and the backup media.
Restrictions
• Currently, only restoration to the current instance is supported, rather than to other instances.
• You need to make sure the machine for restoring instances has enough disk space.
