Instructions for Key Operation That Support Monitoring
Application Scenarios
The RDS-PostgreSQL product can record and monitor some key operations at the Console for customers to trace.
Restriction
Only RDS-PostgreSQL instances support the logging of critical operations.
Monitoring Operation Instructions
Key Operation Name | Description |
Instance operation | Operations performed on an instance, such as instance restarting, stop, etc. |
Node operation | Operations performed on a single node of an instance, such as node restoration, stop, and so on. |
Trustlist | Instance trustlist-related operations, such as deletion, addition, and modification. |
Backup operation | Create backups, modify backup policies, etc. |
Instance parameter operation | Modify instance parameters, etc. |
Remote operation of instance | Check and terminate idle connections and VACUUM table operations. |
Audit log | Enable and modify audit log settings,, etc. |
User operation of instance | Create user, delete user, etc. |
Database operation | Create database, delete database, etc. |
Instance label | Add instance labels, delete labels, etc. |
Parameter template operation | Create, modify parameter templates, etc. |
Viewing Critical Operation Records
Application Scenarios
You can use this feature when you need to view the key operation records of your RDS-PostgreSQL instance.
Constraints and Restrictions
Only RDS-PostgreSQL supports viewing critical operation monitoring records.
Procedure
1. Log in to the eSurfing Cloud Portal.
2. Go to the Console.
3. Select the resource pool region in the upper left corner. For details of resource pools supported by RDS-PostgreSQL, see Function Loading Description.
4. Find RDS-PostgreSQL and click it to go to the Console page.
5. Select Monitoring > Operation Monitoring on the left sidebar to enable the operation monitoring page.
• You can click Please select operation in the upper right corner to filter the Operation Type. See Instructions for Key Operation That Support Monitoring for details.
• You can click the time box in the upper right corner. Select a time range, and filter to view the operation records in different time periods.
