Application Scenarios
If you do not need to use a database instance for the time being, you can stop the instance. The stopped instances do not provide services, but related resources are not released. You can restart the instances to provide services again.
Procedure
• Log in to the eSurfing Cloud Portal.
• Click Console and select the corresponding resource pool, such as East China 1.
• In the upper left corner of the Console, click
and select Region and Project.
• Select Database > RDS-PostgreSQL and go to the RDS-PostgreSQL Console.
• On the List of Instances page, select the specified instance and click More to stop the operation.
• Click Confirm to finish the stopping operation.

• When the instance stops, the automatic backup task also stops.
