Billing for Payment by Volume Mode

2024-08-15 06:51:54

The Payment by Volume billing mode is a more flexible way to purchase RDS-PostgreSQL.

Charging Method

Pre-deposit and post-paid method: You can top up cash into your eSurfing Cloud account in advance with a balance of not less than 20 USD. Then, the system settles the account according to the actual usage.

Billing period: Hourly billing is based on natural hours (Beijing time). Less than an hour is counted as one hour. Fees are deducted from the cash balance of your account. It is recommended that you enable the service on the hour. Less than a natural hour is counted as one hour. If you delete the service in advance, the billing is also based on natural hours.

For example: if you enable the service at 1:01, then the period is counted as a natural hour until 2:00; if you enable the service at 1:58, then the time until 2:00 is also counted as a natural hour. In these two cases, the billing is based on one hour. Therefore, to avoid your time loss, it is recommended that you enable the service within a few minutes after the hour and delete the service a few minutes before the hour.

Unsubscription Rules

When you unsubscribe from an RDS-PostgreSQL instance, the system stops billing for the CPU and memory of the database, and other associated resources are still billed.

When you unsubscribe from an RDS-PostgreSQL instance, the data is not retained and the resources are released immediately.

Account Arrears

If the user account is in arrears, the system automatically deducts the arrears at first once the account is recharged.

Reminder/Notification Rules

Account arrears notification: Email notifications will be sent when your account balance is not sufficient for paying the one-day resources in Payment by Volume mode or your account balance is less than 20 USD.

Reminder and notification methods: Email and SMS will be sent. Please pay attention to your SMS and email messages promptly.
