Data Migration
Data migration refers to the migration of data from a source database to a destination database. The entire migration process only requires you to configure the source and destination database instances and the objects to be migrated as long as DTS can be connected to the source and destination databases at the same time. The data migration feature is provided to help you migrate data between various types of data sources conveniently and rapidly. You can use this feature to migrate data to the cloud through an elastic IP address (EIP) over the Internet, migrate data across eSurfing Cloud instances through a virtual private cloud (VPC), and split or scale out databases. With data migration, you can migrate data without service downtime, eliminating the need to shut down databases or interrupt business operations. This helps you maximize business availability during data migration.
Data Synchronization
Data synchronization refers to the real-time replication of mission-critical data from a source database to a destination database between different systems through the synchronization technology with guaranteed data consistency. This feature is provided to achieve real-time data synchronization between two data sources. During synchronization, you can flexibly synchronize data based on mappings and filter conditions.
