DTS provides monitoring and alarming capabilities to keep you updated with the operation status of data migration and synchronization. With monitoring and alarming, you can detect exceptions and respond to alarms at the earliest opportunity to ensure the smooth operation of your business.

DTS monitors various metrics including the traffic BPS, performance RPS, network latency, and SQL response time (RT) during migration/synchronization. You can create custom alarm rules for data migration/synchronization and set a notification email address to keep updated with the operation status of your DTS instance at the earliest opportunity.

You can set alarms in the user or instance dimension. If User is selected, DTS monitors all instances that belong to your account. If Instance is selected, DTS monitors the specified instances.

DTS generates alarms according to the alarm interval you set. A monitoring cycle lasts for 30 seconds. You can configure an alarm interval to an integer multiple of 30 seconds.

For more information about how to create alarm rules for data migration/synchronization, see Configuring Monitoring and Alarms for Data Migration and Configuring Monitoring and Alarms for Data Synchronization.
